Thank you Pierce County!

We enjoyed a bipartisan landslide on election night. Many people told me how much they appreciated our high road campaign. Our victory was a tribute to the deputy prosecutors and support staff who do so much for our community.

My wife Chelsea and I are grateful to the dozens of volunteers, hundreds of financial contributors, and thousands of supporters who worked hard to ensure that our Prosecutor’s Office continues to be vigorous, professional, non-partisan, and committed to justice.

We hope you can join us for our Second Annual Signed Book and Wine Auction fundraiser at King’s Books in Tacoma, Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, 6 p.m. This promises to be a fun social event, food and drink provided, only $25 at the door.

Under my leadership, we are aggressively prosecuting violent gangs, we held accountable those who assisted cop-killer Maurice Clemmons, including four Murder One convictions for the getaway driver, and we are working to reduce Superior Court’s felony backlog to increase access to justice and save taxpayers’ money.

We are also working with community leaders on intervention and prevention, including successful efforts to stop the state from dumping felons from other counties onto our streets.
